Bug On The Windshield
The Internet connection at the house has gone down. I contacted CenturyLink, my Internet service provider, this morning and spent about 25 or so minutes with the representative on the other end of the phone going through the requisite motions; "What lights do you see on your modem? Turn your modem around and tell me how many cables do you have plugged in. Unplug the power cable. Unplug the green cable from the modem and from the phone jack in the wall. Now plug the power cable back into the modem. Now plug the green cable back into the phone jack and back into the modem. What lights do you have showing on the modem now? What are the lights doing?"
And on and on, until finally, "We will have to send a service technician to your house to check the outside line. Do you have any dogs or locked gates? Can you be home on Wednesday, January 8th between 8:45am and 10:00am?"
Seriously. Next Wednesday. So, WiFi at Wahoo's (or wherever) for almost a week.
