Me, I give the crown to Phillip Roth. Just about everything he has written has been amazing.
However, she voiced an opinion similar to that of the anti-Roth crowd among my circle of friends, a group of people who believe that authors such as Bellows, Hurst, Malamud. or even Ephron are more deserving of that honor...but they are wrong.
If only for Professor of Desire PR is the best, and that isn't even his best work.
...she exalted the work of J. Rossner, who, while talented and capable of writing entertaining fiction, falls a bit shy of the standard set by Roth.
My opinion being such made for a short date.
