Quirky Old Thing Found In A Musty Old Box

   Found at the bottom of a small box filled with old books that was purchased at a garage sale this weekend - eight silver dollar sized pieces of stiff paper printed up for the 1932 Leadville, Colorado, High School Junior-Senior Silver Dollar Prom.

   They were tied together with a small piece of thin ribbon that had been threaded through a small hole punched through each disc of paper. From what is printed on them these must have served as the program for the prom, complete with dinner menu and dance card.

   Sadly, none of the 16 standard entries on the dance cards were filled out, and only the 4th line on the last dance card, the one with four lines for "Extras", was filled in (very faintly) - with what appears to be the name of a teacher, Miss Macy (?).

   So, even 90 years ago kids were hot for teacher...
