Dumb Drug-Addled Small-Time Thief Movie Scene Idea

Scene: Dark alley, POV is the entrance to the alley, off a busy street. Only source of light is dim bulb over the back entrance to a bar. Trash cans overflowing with refuse line the wall opposite the door. A man's body lies motionless amid the garbage. Blood can be seen oozing from his side.

Action: Tracking shot of a man's feet running down the alley from opposite the opening POV, towards the motionless body laying against garbage.

Scene: Tight shot of running man throwing himself to the ground in front of the motionless body.

Running Man: Roy! Roy! What the hell happened to you! Roy! Talk to me!

Motionless Body (Roy, gasping for breath as he struggles to speak) POV looking up into running man's eyes: D-D-Davy, Davy, they shot me Davy, those assholes I was telling you about...they jumped me here in the alley and they shot me! They...they shot me! I can't feel man...I can't feel anything...I, I can't...I, I...

Davy, slow pan out: Who Roy, who shot you? Those guys you stole the drugs and money from? Who? Tell me Roy, tell me!

Roy, dolly shot from his face to Davy's: Yeah Davy, those bastards...uh...ugh, I'm fading...god, I'm dying. I'm so weak...Davy, Davy, come close...uhh...listen, you got to get 'em for me, you have to avenge my death...uh, god, I'm so...tired...

Davy: What? Avenge your death? Are you, are you nuts? You got yourself mixed up with a bunch of sociopathic drug dealers and stole their drugs and money - so they tracked your dumb-ass down to the bar you've been hanging out in 6 nights a week for the past twelve years and took it out on your hide and now you fucking want me to risk my life and/or freedom trying to extract some type of payback for your stupidity? I'm sorry Roy, you got what you earned man, this isn't my deal.

Roy (with his last bit of strength): What?! What are saying Davy...uhh...ugh,...you c-can't let them get away with k-k-killing me...you c-c-can't...

Davy, slow overhead tracking shot from just over his right shoulder, stopping at rooftop at end of dialogue: I'm not letting them get away with killing you Roy, you did...You and your addictions and your big plans...goodbye Roy...I'll bring flowers.

Scene: Int. Funeral Parlor. Three men and two women in seats near casket on podium. Medium shot from back of room towards podium. Easel adorned with large wreath of flowers is just to the right. Slow zoom in to small card on wreath until script can be clearly read: R.I.P. Roy Descanso, Love The David Thorson Family.
