Someone Shut Off The Chemical Drip

Chemicals. 

Chemicals coursing through my body, specifically.

Making me hungry, making me crave food.

Too much food.

My body, being the result of tens of thousands of years of adaptation to difficult circumstances, especially in regard to the availability of food, believes it needs to store some of the calories I've been taking in, just in case I should run short of fuel for the ol' human engine.

My body does not understand that I live in the land of plenty, and does not care about that fact, either.

My body just wants to store the extra calories I've been consuming...as fat.

Which sucks big time, because now I am officially, uncomfortably, almost tragically...

grossly overweight.

Gotta get the over-intake of calories under control, gotta get back to the gym on a regular schedule.

Because if it gets any worse I'm going to have to result to...

slip on shoes.
