I See Hawks In Lakewood*

 

 That is a big ol' hawk perched atop that pine, most likely a Red Tailed Hawk, which are fairly common throughout Colorado. While the tail feathers are not visible, the dark belly band is, which is indicative of a Red Tailed Hawk. 

Majestic bird, eh?
