Least Scary Jack O' Lantern

 

Technically not a Jack O'Lantern, as there is no way for it to be fitted with a candle and thus provide illumination - it hasn't been hollowed out and carved with a face (which is obvious, I know).

Still, not scary in the least.

Creeper Van In The Parking Lot

 White panel van in the parking lot...no license plates front or back, no passenger seat, blacked out windows...

Flight 663 Ready For Take Off

 Hard to imagine at this stage in the game but there once was a time when an adult taking me up by my right hand and my right foot and spinning me around as if I was an airplane was the single biggest thrill on the face of the earth.

Ghost Moon

 

    Was it Mason or Stacey who first mentioned the chill that seemed to suddenly envelope the room? 

      Maybe it was neither or maybe it was everyone at once, all of us then instantly shutting our yammering traps and standing stock still, glued in place while we simultaneously experienced what we would all agree later on was the feeling of a thousand strands of extremely light and ice-cold ribbon wrapping around and about us as it passed through the large parlor.

  The silence that blanketed the room in the moments immediately following the shared experience was such that heartbeats could be heard - not just one's own, but those of the people close by. 

   When Jensen quietly cleared his throat everyone jumped, even stoic Eileen, which was almost more off-putting than the silence.

 

   Fighting to steady his voice Jensen posed the question "Anyone standing near a light switch? We need to see what we're dealing with here."

      And at that very moment the lights came on and we could all see each other and the room we were locked inside of...and the body on the floor near the fireplace.

Thoughts that occupy my time...

Anyone have an old copy of Progress and Poverty they're not using at the moment? Think I might have to reread that book.
