A buddy of mine is scheduled to have open heart surgery in about two weeks. He is approximately the same age as I am, and quite close to the same height & weight. I actually thought he & I were about the same in terms of physical fitness and overall health, but apparently we are not.
The wild thing is, this will be his third open heart surgery - the first operation was 14 years ago.
Makes one feel very, very lucky.
