Night falls earlier
Morning struggles to make an appearance
Unkempt, like a drunk coming to in an alley
Oblique angle of the sunlight
Splatters orange hues across the horizon
Skyward, lurking
Snow bides it's time
Counting down the degrees
Eagerly anticipating
That moment
When flake by flake
The storm will begin
And the world will be covered in ice
Again
