If you ever find yourself in Reno, Nevada and are not getting divorced or married, don't want to gamble, have no desire to catch a magic act or past-their-prime one-hit-wonder from the '80's, may I suggest a day trip to lake Tahoe?
Lake Tahoe is about an hours drive down US 395 south and US 50 west.
Head west on US 50 for the last twenty miles of the drive
This is the first view you'll get - it's quite enough to hook you in

In Tahoe, You can rent Tahoe pontoon boats and cobalt boats that can hold up to 13 people at Sunnyside Marina. If you dock in the north, you will have the option of having your transportation to the beach arranged for you.
